History

Voxent™ was launched originally as NGHN through an implementation grant under the California Networks for EHR Adoption (CNEA) program, a joint effort of the Tides Community Clinics Initiative, the California Health Care Foundation, and the Blue Shield of California Foundation. A group of West and East coast Planned Parenthood organizations then invested in NGHN to support their implementations of NextGen. Thus began the development of the EPM and EHR Frameworks, and Quality Information Warehouse™ solutions.  In 2010, Planned Parenthood Federation invested in NGHN while selecting it as the national Management Services Organization. With this, NGHN was rebranded as Voxent and began working to expand its services.
